Description: Please read everything about the turn signal plug size, and other variations. Any questions just e-mail me. This is a tilt automatic steering column removed from a 1976 Chevrolet truck. This column has a New turn signal switch, New lower bearing retainer, New ignition switch, New key switch, New Shift lever & knob, New turn and tilt levers, New flasher button, New copper bolts, stripped and painted. This column does not have cruise control. While the 73-78 columns can be swapped out and will fit there are slight variations. The 73-76 truck tilt columns have metal one-piece lower shift bowl, in 1977 and up they went to a two-piece aluminum and plastic shift bowl. The 1973-1978's have a splined (see pictures of the end of the column) lower output shaft, and the 79-83's used the double D style. They can be swapped out by using the lower sector shaft that came with the column. Plug size info; The early columns (73-75 I think) use a slightly smaller turn signal plug. They actually no longer make a turn signal switch with the small plug (they used to sell a switch with an adapter plug, but I can no longer find them). 1976 and up use a slightly larger (about 3/8") size plug, this one being a 1976 has the larger plug. If you have the smaller plug on your truck you would have to swap out the truck side plug. I've also included the larger female side plug; you could cut and splice them (not the best way) or just swap your wires into the larger plug. The wires just have a little keeper to push in (I just use a small pick) then the wire comes out of the plug. I hope this all makes since; any questions just ask. The turn signal lever, tilt lever, and flasher button are removed (but included) for safe shipping reasons, as seen in the pictures. The shift lever however is left installed. Do not install the round black plastic lock plate cover until the turn signal lever is installed. (I will be listing a 77-78 tilt auto with cruise control soon) e-mail if interested, slightly more expensive, as the switches are about $100. The column in the pictures is the exact part you will receive; these are not stock photos. This column is already packed and boxed for shipping. Please verify it will fit your application prior to purchasing. You are buying it to own it, not to try it out. This will be shipped signature required within the 48 either FedEx or UPS ground, so no PO boxes. Also, if you are not in the 48, then email me and I can remove the shipping restrictions. I can ship these using priority mail with increased shipping costs (between $115-$150) through the Post Office to Hawaii and Alaska. If you are out of the US, you can use eBays global shipping program. #990
