Description: Ashley Sanders Australian World Class Lattice-Braced Classical Guitar This 2008 Ashley Sanders guitar has a rare combination: tremendous volume and projection with a totally natural sound! The woods on this guitar are of the highest quality. The soundboard is built from master-grade cedar. The arched back has beautiful, dark, highly-figured Brazilian rosewood. What sets Ashley Sanders apart from many contemporary luthiers is that before he began building the guitars, he worked as a maker of high-level furniture – just like the great masters of the past. This is where he learned, developed and perfected his woodworking skills. Based on the appearance, this guitar was very lightly played. But as soon as you begin to play, you will immediately experience its cello-like basses, excellent mid-range, velvet trebles, exquisite quality and refinement of tone and amazing sustain. We often hear that lattice-braced guitars have a piano-type voice. To me, it’s not the best characteristic when applied to a classical guitar. This guitar combines the clarity of a piano with deep and warm voice of a cello. The sound is balanced (but with excellent separation), sweet, clear, warm and bright - and all that in a single instrument! You can play Villa Lobos, Bach, Jobim, Django, Legrand or The Beatles and Trini Lopez - and the guitar sounds nice in all those types of music. In my opinion, this Ashley Sanders guitar is excellent plus condition. It looks stunning – big and beautiful. It has some nail marks below the 1st string and several small nicks – on the soundboard and sides. I did my best to show them on the last 4 pictures. Forgive me if I missed some – they are really difficult to find.
