Description: This bowl caught our eye at an auction, and after some research we have identified that it is in the style of Ming Dynasty Zhangzhou (Swatow) pieces in the Duck Lotus pattern; that said, we do not know anything about its true age or origin. It features blue lotuses and ducks on a blue/grey ground, a crane in the center, and a pattern around the edge. There is all-over crazing, discoloration and losses to the rim, other losses as shown including a loss to the interior of the bowl, and grit to the feet. The bowl measures about 8 inches across.
