Description: A letter written on both sides of the paper from Nathan W. Hayes, Moorefield (then Virginia) Nov. 22, 1853. He writes to a man assuring him they are advertising about the gentleman's lost 'specs' (eye glasses?). The told Mr. Hayes they had been advertised and every effort had been made to obtain them, without success. He goes on to say perhaps someone found them and a reward would be offered as they were quite valuable, being gold. The remainder of the letter is updates of friends / family.
