James Swan settled on the North Coast of The Washington Territory in 1852 and lived amoung the Makah Indians. He painted and was given the name Cha-tic by the natives meaning painter. This Book contains his paintings and the native influence upon them. This Large Book is in "Like New" condition with no markings of any kind and is from a non-smoking home. The Dust Jacket is in Very Good+ condition. What may appear to be foxing or stains on the dust jacket is actually artwork. I did seal this in shrink plastic to ensure it remains in great condition.
