Description: Winner receives a signed oil painting on artist board painting by listed artist Joseph Raoul Arus (1848-1921). The painting is signed in the lower right corner and dated 1889, seen magnified in picture 4. The piece is titled "Searching". The painting is masterfully executed, retaining its original Hudson River School style, gold gilt and gesso frame. The piece is in excellent condition, just coming back from a recent cleaning. There are no rips, tears, repairs, staining, foxing, water damage, or in-painting. The original gold gilt and gesso frame is also in great condition with no damage visible from the front, but has 3 chips on the right side visible from the profile only. The original name plaque with title can seen in picture 5. The frame measures roughly 28" x 24", with the image itself measuring roughly 22" x 18".
