The edges on the top rail are curved for safe handling to prevent from scratching your hands or rifle accessories. It does fit most any 20mm weaver/Picatinny style scope mount or rail system as commonly found, and the top rail will accept most any scope/red dot/reflex sight and other accessories that have a Weaver/Picatinny compatible base.
