Description: A dainty antique Edwardian 9k gold chrysoprase Egyptian revival portrait ring, hallmarks for Chester 1910. This beautiful Edwardian solid 9k gold ring shows a portrait of an Egyptian in profile wearing traditional head-ware, the ring reflecting the excitement of the times as archaeologists were making astonishing discoveries in Egypt, the portrait well carved in lovely polished green and white chrysoprase bezel set in an open back setting with pretty split shoulders. The ring has full English hallmarks including maker 'E&W' for Frederick Henry Eaton and Earnest Wrighton, the Chester town mark, '9 .375' and date letter 'K' for 1910. The ring tests for 9k gold. The ring is approximately a size 8 1/4. The cameo measures approximately 10mm x 7mm. The ring rises about 5mm above the finger. The ring has a total weight of about 3.0 grams.
