RARE 1934 ADVERTISING PC THE OLD VIRGINIA APPLE CANDY CO WINCHESTER VA MINT *

Description: Featured is a Rare vintage 1949 Advertising Postcard (PC dated from No at right corner border) / Trade Card for The Old Virginia Apple Candy Co. in Winchester, Virginia. PC "new" to extent it is New Old Stock, has not been used in any manner, and remains in MINT condition. This PC actually has a Blank Verso ... missing the Direct Reply w/ Remittance & Addressee Sections on Divided Back version usually seen. Don't know if this was an Error Card or of it was meant to be used as a Trade and/ or Premium Card w/ Space for Customized Message on Verso w/ Address. (This has been done many times on multi-purpose Advertising PCs printed by Teich.) Regardless, PC image sought after and there are only two documented sales across the past dozen years ( 2018 ... 29.95 in exc condition & 2020 ... 47.00 in poor condition). I have split the difference for this PC in Mint condition. This pristine postcard comes from the Curt Teich Archives. The card has been in our possession for approximately 15+ years ... long before the Curteich digitally archived images found their permanent home with The Newberry Institute. At the time of our acquisition, the Lake County Discovery Museum in IL was the custodian of the company's records, having served in that capacity since 1982.
