Description: Rare faux wood Staffordshire transferware teapot from the 19th century. I think this is just absolutely stunning and has a very subtle luster finish. It's in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. The collar of the pewter lid, which attaches it to the teapot, is a little wiggly as two of the rivets holding it in place are a bit loose. The swan on top of the lid is also now leaning slightly towards one side. Marked J. T. H. - possibly for J. T. Hudden. Sourced at a market in London. It is 6.25" tall, 5.75" wide, and 8.75" long. This looks absolutely beautiful in person and is such a lovely piece of history.
