Description: Offered here is an incredibly rare partial set of vintage Midcentury Modern (MCM) decorative ceramic dinnerware from the Aloha Dinnerware line, by French Saxon. I have found individual Aloha pieces online, but they are few and far between. Often they are described as having been manufactured in the 1950s, although some sellers assert 1940s, and others early 1960s. I've done a little research into this company and more specifically this pattern, but there is precious little online and I cannot confirm an exact date of manufacture. I would guess 1950s is probably accurate. This is a partial set, containing the following: 3 x mugs (4" diameter at rim, not including handle, and 2" tall, chartreuse, maroon, and gray)1 x small maroon dish or shallow bowl (5.25" diameter and 1.25" tall)3 x saucers (6" diameter, chartreuse, gray and maroon)3 x small plates (just under 6.5" diameter, maroon, chartreuse, gray)5 x shallow bowls (7.75" diameter and 1.5" tall, 1 x maroon, 2 x dark green, 2 x chartreuse) Condition: These pieces are in surprisingly great shape for their age. I can find no chips at all, just minor surface protrusions or glaze blisters here and there, which are a result of firing during production. There is crazing on the glaze on many of these pieces, which is common for old ceramics. See pictures! Thanks for looking!
