Description: This is a set of two miniature plates (4” in diameter): 2 ducks on one plate and one goose on the other. They are beautifully hand painted on porcelain with gold trim around edges. Marked on bottoms, “Made in Japan” with a UCG mark which stands for Ucagco (United China And Glass COmpany). They were an importer and distributor of dinnerware, tableware, glassware, etc. from Japan. Offices were in New Orleans and NY. They began after WW 2 and continued well into the 50’s. There are 2 holes at the top to hang plates if desired These might be “Butter Pats” which are small shallow dishes used for pats of butter! Start a Butter Pat collection, display on wall, or use as teabag, spoon, ring, paper clips holder! These are in very good condition. Please see pics. .
