Description: Vintage Italian Red Colnago Master 52cm Columbus Steel Gilco Design Road Bike Frame & Fork Vintage Italian Colnago Master Racing Road Bike Frame and Fork with the Unique Gilco Profile S4 Columbus Tube Set. The size 52cm, I believe Colnago sizing is center to top. Actual Size is: Seat tube 50.5m Center to Center or 52cm Center to Top with a 52.5cm center to center top tube. The Head tube is 96mm tall. Frame is Unique shaped Gilco Design G4 Profile Columbus Steel with the characteristic star-shaped tube cross-section with Campagnolo Dropouts. The 1" Threaded Fork has 100mm Spacing and the Frame has 130mm Rear Spacing. The wheel base is approximately 99cm drop out center to fork drop center. Rear Chain stay measured from center of bottom bracket to center of rear chain stay drop out is approximately 41.5cm. Serial is 27x and from research I suspect it's late 1980s since it lacks seat tube water bottle mounts, but the paint kinda looks 1990s and Piu', dates are estimates, do your homework. Frame & Fork is Italian Standard. Frame Set is Used, It's pretty, Nice original paint, some nicks & scratches, decals in pretty nice shape, chrome has minimal rust & peppering, top tube near the head tube has spot where the paint has cracked & released from the tubing, a possible stress point, although there is no evidence of damage, used good looker that survives well. Plenty of Pictures to mull over. What's here for sale weighs a tad over 5 1/2 pounds. This frame had racing 700c wheels with tubular tires, Not Included but for wheel size reference.
