Description: I am not sure of the age or origin of this vintage pectoral Crucifix. Made of silver tone metal and black ebony wood, it is 4 inches by 2 inches. The skull and cross bones is referred to as "memento mori". a reminder of the inevitability of death, not in a morbid way, but a reminder that we should live each day with purpose and truth. Nice condition. The face of the skull is blackened, not sure why.
